
In late 2024, the Isle of Rùm - a sparsely populated island off the western coast of Scotland - became Europe’s second Dark Sky Sanctuary.
This series of photographs was made over ten days in January 2025 for the New York Times story ‘Embracing Darkness on the Isle of Rùm’ with an accompanying essay by Kat Hill.
